French Toast

I had some great French Toast yesterday.

It’s weird that most of the world doesn’t call it “French Toast” even in their Languages.

Ukrainian: Солодкі грінки = Sweet Croutons

German: Arme Ritter = Poor Knight

Russian: Сладкие гренки = Sweet Croutons

Metropolitan French: Pain perdu = Lost Bread

Canadian French: Pain doré = Crunchy Bread

Swiss French: Croûtes dorées  = Golden Crusts

Italian: Pane perso = Lost Bread

Spanish: Tostada francesa = French Toast

Dutch: Wentelteefje = Curl-Up

Bulgarian: Пържена филийка = Fried Slice

Catalan: Rostes de Santa Teresa = Faces of Saint Teresa

Danish: Arme riddere = Poor Knight

Polish: Tosty francuskie = French Toast

Norwegian: Arme riddere = Poor Knight

Czech: smažené pavézky = Fried Buns

Turkish: Yumurtalı ekmek – Egg Bread

Greek:  Αβγόψωμο  = Egg Bread

Japanese:  フレンチトースト  = French Toast

Korean: 프렌치 토스트   = French Toast

Armenian:   Բոված հացի քաղցր կտորներ  = Sweet Pieces of Toasted Bread

Hebrew:  לחם אבוד  = Lost Bread

Afrikaans: Eierbrood = Egg Bread
