Seeing the Eiffel Tower with the Olympic Design tonight reminds me of when I went on my High School French Class Trip to Paris in April 1997 and saw the Eiffel Tower with the Countdown Clock to the New Millenium (2000.)
During that trip we spent a few
days in Paris as a whole Class before going to stay with our Host Families (the
French Students had come to the US in October 1996, but I never met them as I
didn't move to New York until November 1996.)
My Host Family was Pierre and his
Mother (from Martinique.)
