Cologne Pride

 

Cologne Pride 2024 is going on in Cologne, Germany (until July 21^st.)

At a time when Hate Crimes against Gays and Lesbians across the United States and around the World continue to increase to unheard of numbers it is important for everyone: Gay and Straight to support Equal Rights for everyone.

That includes having Pride Events.

Cologne Pride has an estimated 1.2 Participants along 2.8 miles.

Bigots, Homophobes, Politicians, So-Called Religious and Hate Groups have decided to attack Gays and Lesbians around the US and the World.

They are using these verbal and physical attacks to shift focus away from the real issues and problems and to use Homosexuals as Scapegoats.

I am Straight and I support Equal Rights for Homosexuals the same way I support Equal Rights for Women (even though I am a Man) or Equal Rights for Blacks (even though I’m White) or Equal Rights for Jews (even though I’m Catholic) or Equal Rights for the Homeless (even though I have a Home) or any of the Other Marginalized Groups.

I went to Cologne, Germany in December 2014 and went with my Friend to different Christmas Markets in the City.

One of those Christmas Markets was the Gay Christmas Market – Heavenue – (pictured.) I have to say I saw no difference in Christmas Spirit at the Gay Christmas Market or the Traditional Christmas Markets at Cologne Cathedral.
