Pixie Mask

From USA Today:

“Disney debuts matching pixie dust masks for theme park employees”

Disney Parks debuted new pixie dust face coverings Friday for the company's cast members to promote an "unified" front against COVID-19 at domestic theme parks.  "The unified design speaks to the fact that we are still one unified Cast, one Disney 'world,'" said Yonit Olshan, a costume designer for Disneyland Resort Costuming. The "breathable face covering," which was created by fellow cast members, features a combination of Mickey Mouse-shaped constellations and pixie dust, according to the Disney Parks blog. The blog touts the design as not only magically stylish, but "functional and comfortable." “Over the past several months, we’ve spent significant time and brainpower to provide our cast members with face coverings… and I’m proud of the incredible results," said Dr. Pamela Hymel, Disney Parks chief medical officer. "They fit well, feel great and can last for more than 50 washes." Disney debuted new pixie dust face masks for employees to wear with their uniforms. The pixie dust masks, which are only available for employees (sorry Disney fans), come in pleated and contoured styles and multiple sizes. The news of uniformed face masks comes days after it was announced that Florida will provide coronavirus testing for Disney World cast members following a nearly two-month dispute with a union that represents stage actors at the park. Since Disney World reopened on July 11, visitors have been required to wear a face mask at all times, except while eating or swimming. In addition to face masks, Disney World requires visitors to undergo a temperature check on arrival and observe social distancing guidance.  Disneyland and Disney California Adventure remain closed on the West Coast.

^ I’m glad there is a uniform mask policy at Disney and uniform mask design. ^
