Absentee Ballot

I hadn't planned to vote by Absentee Ballot this year (I have twice in the past when I was registered in New York but studying in Massachusetts for one Election and then studying in Russia for another Election) but when I went to my Town Hall last Thursday to renew the registration on my Jeep and even though there were signs saying to wear a mask, and i was wearing a mask, the Town Clerk was not wearing a mask - even when she was in another room talking to a co-worker and then left that room, walked past me and then into the Town Clerk's Office.

Every Election Volunteer in my town is over 70 years old (except for the Town Clerk and the Police Chief who will also be there) and so I decided to vote by Absentee Ballot this year - one less person they have to deal with and worry about getting sick from.

My State now allows every Resident to vote because of Covid-19 concerns. The State has a website to go through everything needed to vote (In-Person and by Absentee Ballot.) The State is also sending the same information in a mailer to every house.

Trump believes his Absentee Ballot to Florida will count (even though Florida has messed-up in past Elections with even In-Person Voting) - even with the issues with the USPS - and I have no reason to believe my past Absentee Ballots didn't go through so I will vote that way this November (I'm officially "Undeclared" in my State so can't vote in the September Republican or Democratic Primary - since I believe in voting for the person and not the Party.

My Absentee Ballot Application is all filled out and will go out in the mail today.
