Amazon Shipping

Amazon has just shipped a very large order (my stocking-up for the Winter as you have to do living on a mountain) via USPS. The whole reason I got Prime years ago was because they use FedEx and UPS and those are the only ones that deliver to my house. USPS does not. Not only will the order take forever to arrive at my local Post Office, but then I have to drive down to my mailbox, get a package slip and then drive to the next town to pick it up -usually the next day since the Post Office is closed by the time the mail arrives.

This is the 2nd time this Summer Amazon has used the USPS. I wish there was a way for me to tell them not to - I've checked and can't find one. I have made an online note for my home address on Amazon's website under Special Delivery Instructions, but by that time the order is already shipped.  Most days I don't drive past my mailbox and even some days I can't drive down to my mailbox (weather, etc.) so don't get into the next town that often. It will be worse once the snow starts next month.
