Socks And Sandals

I have a confession to make. In my youth I used to wear socks with my sandals. I fell into a rough crowd of Europeans who used peer pressure to tell me it was the 'cool thing to do' and that 'everyone was doing it.' I used to leave my house with the socks in my bag and put them on with my sandals at the bus stop. I know now that it was a mistake - one that I am deeply ashamed of. When I moved to the US as a teenager I went cold turkey (there were no patches to wear back then.) I have been sock with sandals free for decades now. Every Summer day is a struggle, but I will beat this because I look at the old pictures of me wearing socks with sandals and it only motivates me to wear sandals without socks.
