KSAR: Working Dogs

Kabul Small Animal Rescue’s Facebook:

Twice a month, we load up food and take it to the working dogs we help care for. As foreign companies come in and start working on ground handling and taking over some of the K9 responsibilities, we hope they'll cover costs on their own, but for now our vets visit 3 times per week, sometimes dealing with emergencies requiring round the clock care, and we make sure all the dogs are vaccinated, given worm and flea preventatives, good food, and medical care as needed. We continue to work on getting permission to retire and evacuate older dogs and assist with the welfare and working conditions of these great animals.

This work is in addition to caring for the roughly 250 animals we have in our facilities here in Kabul, and expenses are high with all these growing puppies and kittens. We are subsisting month to month now, and depend on your help getting the word out about our awesome animals.
