Government Assessing

I received a letter from my Town Hall today stating that I needed to schedule a 2 hour window appointment to have an Assessor come inside the house.

I had never heard of such things until I moved up here and you wouldn’t expect any place to force anyone (especially from the Government) inside your house to go through your things.

We only allowed them to come inside once (when we first moved here.) We haven’t let them  in since. To top things off they only have 3 days to do my whole town and they are Weekdays – ie, when people aren’t at home to let anyone in.

I will be home, but am not planning to let any of them in.

I’m not anti-Government, but I am for the Rights of Ordinary People – especially inside your own home.
