Long Or Short Haul

Long-Haul Direct Flights or Shorter-Haul Flights with Layovers?

I prefer Shorter-Haul Flights with Layovers instead of 1 Long-Haul Direct Flight

I have done Direct Long-Haul Flights to/from Russia and the US, but broke up flights to/from Israel (with a stopover in Switzerland) and the US, to/from Boston and Costa Rica (with a stopover in Miami), to/from Boston and Anchorage (with a stopover in Seattle), to/from Boston and Kuwait (with a stopover in London), etc.

I don't consider the flights from the US to most of Europe Long-Haul Flights since they are only 6-7 hours long.
