1: Promises

It is 1 Year since the Fall of Kabul and the Return of the Taliban to Afghanistan. It is also 1 Year of Broken Promises from the Western Countries (the US, Canada, the UK, Germany, Spain, Poland, France, Australia, New Zealand, etc.) in helping both the Afghans who worked for the Western Governments and Western Companies that were able to flee Afghanistan as well as estimated 200,000 Afghans who worked for the Western Government and Western Companies that are still inside Afghanistan being hunted down and killed by the Taliban.

(The evacuation of the US Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan as the Taliban took over the Capital – August 15, 2021.)

The United States:

In August 2021, the US promised to evacuate every American Citizen and every Afghan Citizen that worked for the US out of Afghanistan. 100,000 Afghans were evacuated from Kabul.

In August 2022, the US has abandoned between 200 (according to Biden) and 9,000 (according to the Senate Foreign relations Committee) American Citizens inside Afghanistan.

In August 2022, the US has abandoned 78,000 Afghan Citizens that worked for the United States Government and American Companies/Charities inside Afghanistan (now being hunted down and killed by the Taliban.)

In August 2022, the US has resettled 70,000 (of the 100,000 Afghans evacuated from Kabul) to the US giving them  $2,275 per Person for Rent, Food, and Clothing, plus Food Stamps and Rent Relief.

In August 2022, the US still has 30,000 (of the 100,000 Afghans evacuated from Kabul) on US Bases in Kosovo and other Countries. The Refugees are given little to no answers or help in when their cases will be viewed or when they can leave the Refugee Camp.

Canada:

In August 2021, Canada promised to evacuate every Canadian Citizen in Afghanistan.

In August 2021, Canada promised to bring 40,000 Refugees and Vulnerable Afghans (including the Afghans who worked for the Canadian Government and Canadian Companies/Charities inside Afghanistan – now being hunted down and killed by the Taliban.)

In August 2022, An unknown number of Canadian Citizens remain inside Afghanistan.

In August 2022, Canada has only brought 17,655 Refugees and vulnerable Afghans (including the Afghans who worked for the Canadian Government and Canadian Companies inside Afghanistan – now being hunted down and killed by the Taliban.)

The United Kingdom:

In August 2021, the UK promised to bring all British Citizens and Afghan Refugees and Vulnerable Afghans (including the Afghans who worked for the British Government and British Companies/Charities inside Afghanistan – now being hunted down and killed by the Taliban.)

In August 2021, between 75,000 and 150,000 Afghans who worked for the British Government or for British Companies/Charities in Afghanistan applied to be evacuated during the Fall of Kabul.

In August 2021, the UK evacuated 17,000 Afghan Refugees and Vulnerable Afghans (2,000 came before the Fall of Kabul and 15,000 were evacuated during the Fall of Kabul.)

In August 2021, the UK abandoned 200 British Citizens in Afghanistan.

In August 2022, the UK has evacuated 5,000 Refugees and Vulnerable Afghans (including the Afghans who worked for the British Government and British Companies/Charities inside Afghanistan – now being hunted down and killed by the Taliban.) The British Government is giving Assistance Money to Local Councils throughout the UK.

Note: These are just 3 examples of the broken promises made by Western Countries to both help their own Citizens as well as the Afghans who worked for the Western Governments, Western Companies and Western Charities in Afghanistan over 20 years flee the Taliban back in August 2021 and how now in August 2022 we can see just how little we all have done for those still being hunted down and killed by the Taliban for helping us.

The Afghans gave us 20 years of hard work and we couldn’t even give them 1 year of help.
