We have over
250 animals in residence in our Kabul facilities, and expenses are mounting--we
are not raising enough money each month to cover our costs. The price of food,
medicine, fuel, electricity, even basic cleaning supplies, has increased
exponentially in the past year, and while much of the world has turned its
focus away from Afghanistan, we are still here and we struggle daily to provide
high quality care to our residences and the emergency cases that pour in
constantly. We continue to help with the placement and care of animals we sent
to Canada over 6 months ago and will ensure their health and wellbeing until
they are with trusted homes or rescues, because we love them and are committed
to following through for them. Absolutely nothing is easy here, and we're used
to fighting against the odds and putting out fires every day, but we need a lot
of help to keep going.
^ The Kabul
Small Animal Rescue is run by an American Woman (Charlotte Maxwell-Jones.) They
have been in Kabul for years and have continued on the ground in the 1 year
since the United States and all the Other Countries Abandoned Afghanistan to
the Taliban.
The help
abused and abandoned animals of all kinds as well as sick animals that have
homes, but their Owners can’t afford to treat them.
The animals
without homes are also up for Adoption and the KSAR flies them to Canada where
they can then go to the US.
