The United States estimates that 42,340 Russian Soldiers have been killed and another 28,000 Russian Soldiers have been wounded in Ukraine since the War Began on February 24, 2022.

To put that into some context:

2,420 American Soldiers were killed and another 19,950 American Soldiers were wounded during the War in Afghanistan (October 2001- August 2021.)

That means that 39,920 more Russians have died in 5 months in Ukraine than Americans did in 20 years in Afghanistan.
