From Kabul Small Animal Rescue’s Facebook:
*We'll be doing a ton of setup
tomorrow in Surrey, starting at 9am--if you're able to help, we could use it! A
bit of cleaning, sprucing up, setting up cleaning stations, the works. We could
use every free hand! Please email volunteers.tdiao@gmail.com for full details
on the address and contact details!*

And we're on!! With tons of help
from amazing teams of volunteers here in Vancouver, KSAR is leasing a whole
kennel/boarding facility just south of Vancouver in Surrey, complete with 50
kennels, each with its own heated indoor room and connected outdoor run with
separate doorway/access, a perfect setup for the protocols we will put in place
to ensure the remaining dogs in our care are protected as best as possible.
We've put in an order for dozens of large bags of Royal Canin, PPE and cleaning
supplies, temporary fencing to set up giant outdoor play areas on the 5 acre
property, and supplies for the staff and volunteers who will run it for just
under 2 months. This is a very unexpected expense, but we finish what we start,
and we are committed heart and soul to do the very best for these animals.
^ The KSAR has had to move the
animals previously evacuated from Kabul to Vancouver to this new place because
of issues with the SPCA there (I don’t know the whole story.) While KSAR is
working in Canada it continues to fix things at their main site in Kabul.
