1,540: Kyiv

Today is the 1,540^th Birthday of Kyiv (Київ), Ukraine - the day it was founded back in 482.

Note: Moscow is only 875 years old – founded in 1147 – so Ukraine came before Russia despite what Putin and his Nazi Zs now say.

Kyiv ruled over Ukraine and Russia during Kievan Rus Times (879–1240), survived the Mongol Golden Horde (1241 and 1362), were part of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania (1471–1569), survived the Tsardom of Russia (1667–1721), survived the Russian Czarist Empire (1721–1917), survived the Ukrainian People's Republic (1918–1920), survived the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics  - including Stalin’s Human-Made Famine: the Holodomor where from 1932-1933 3.5 Million to 5 Million People were murdered (1919–1941), survived the Nazi German Occupation – including the Babyn Yar where the Germans murdered 33,771 Jewish Men, Women and Children from September 29-30, 1941 and another 150,000 until 1944 as well as having 40% of your city destroyed -  (1941–1944),  survived the return of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics – including the nearby Chernobyl Disaster in 1986 - (1944–1991), have become the Capital of an independent country since December 1991 – where you have survived the 2004-2005 Orange Revolution, the 2013-2014 EuroMaiden Protests, the Russian invasion and occupation of Crimea in 2014, the Russian fighting in eastern Ukraine in 2014 and the Russian Invasion and attack on Kyiv in 2022.
