Candidate Over Party

Last night I watched my State’s Republican Governor Debate and right now I am watching my State’s Democrat Governor Debate.

I have said this before (for the Federal Level) and I will say it again (for the State Level):

I am not Pro-Republican and Anti-Democrat. I am not Pro-Democrat and Anti-Republican.

I follow George Washington’s belief of voting for the Candidate and not the Political Party.

President George Washington was not a Member of any Political Party at the time of his Election nor throughout his Tenure as President.

He hoped that Political Parties would not form, fearing conflict and stagnation, as outlined in his Farewell Address in 1796.

Party Loyalty often elects the wrong Candidate by People who blindlessly and without thought simply vote for either the Democrats or the Republicans simply because they are a Registered Republican or a Registered Democrat.

I voted for a Democrat Governor who was in office from 2005-2013.

I voted for a Republican Governor who has been in from since 2017

So, please vote for the right Candidate at every Level (Federal, State and Local) and not just one who is in the "right" Political Party.
