Older Than Thought

Contrary to popular belief I was NOT alive when President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Texas 59 years ago today (November 22, 1963) so please don’t ask me.

I was born years after JFK’s death. Both of my Parents were alive then and yes I had to write a report on where they were when they heard JFK was shot (for schools in Germany and New York.)

For some reason I always get asked these kinds of things (maybe because I studied History and know what happened.)

I included this picture of the trip my Mom, Sister-In-Law, Niece, Nephew and I took to England and Scotland for Christmas in 2007 because when we past this sign my 6 year old Niece asked me what an Air Raid was. I told her. She then asked me what I did when there was an Air Raid. I told her it was decades before I was born. She didn’t believe me.

Being mistaken for being old has helped me in the past. The first time I was ever carded to buy alcohol was when I was 32 years old and I had no issues going to a 21 and up Club when I was 13-20.
