War Paws: Shadow

“War Paws is feeling heartbroken.”

We have a very sad story to tell….. On 08 Nov 2022 we learned the news that an American teacher living in Baghdad with his family had been shot and killed.  Stephen Edward Troell had been working at the Global English Institute and he and his family were happy and settled when this tragedy occurred.

Stephens family have returned to the US but sadly had to leave behind Shadow the cavapoo whilst a plan could be made to bring him home to them.

Shadow arrived with us last week and is now in foster with our shelter manager and he is doing well and loving being able to play with her dogs but we need to get this lovely little boy home to his family where he belongs.

This is such a sad story to have to bring you so close to Christmas but we would really appreciate your help in getting him home.  Qatar Airways have kindly reduced the flight costs for Shadow but we do still need to raise £2100 or approx $2500 so we can make this happen.  Please help us to do this by donating if you can and sharing our posts.
