Salonika Marriage

From Untold Stories of the Holocaust and Nazi Germany’s Facebook:

The bride and groom, Victoria Sarfati and Yehuda (Leon) Beraha, pose with family members at their wedding, 1943 - Salonika (Thessaloniki), Greece

The couple (along with their extended families)  received deportation orders, because they were Jewish. Their marriage was hastily arranged and planned within two months. They hoped that a formal arrangement would allow them to be together in whatever work camp they were assigned. The couple were able to stay together in the cattle car.

They were both murdered in Birkenau.
