When the Soviet Union collapsed on December 26, 1991 the United States (as the Sole Super Power and winner of the Cold War) didn't go in and fix things to make sure a Dictatorship couldn't happen again.
We allowed the same people who
ran the Soviet Union (ie the Communists) to continue to rule things and that
was our big mistake.
That's how Russia got Putin (and
many other Former Soviet Republics got their own Dictators.)
We didn't allow Nazis to govern
in West Germany after Germany's collapse in 1945 yet we allowed the Communists
to continue to govern Russia and other FSU after 1991.
When the Russian Federation
collapses (as many predict it will within the year) the United States needs to
go in this time and make sure not RuZZian (Russian Z Nazis) remain in control
of anything.
We also need to limit what Russia
and the Russians can and can't do so that they don't create another
Dictatorship down the line that will cause havoc around the world as the USSR
did and the Russian Federation is doing.
