Since January 2008 Americans have
needed a US Passport Book. a US Passport Card or an Enhanced Driver’s License
to enter the United States from another country.
The first US Passport was created
in 1775 and for the next 227 years (until 2008) Americans did not need a
Passport to enter the US if coming from: Canada, Mexico or the Caribbean.
Currently, 143,116,633 Americans
(out of 330 Million) have a US Passport Book.
This number doesn’t include those
with a US Passport Card (which you can’t use to fly into/out of the country) –
12 Million Americans have one of those -
or those with an Enhanced State Driver’s Licenses (again which you can’t use to
fly into/out of the country) from Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Vermont and
Washington.
Does anyone have one of the newly
designed Passport Books (that came out in 2021 – like the sample one here?)
