I keep getting asked (by my American Friends and Family) why when Europeans ask for Donations they also want it sent directly to their Bank Accounts and not through PayPal, a Crowdfunding Site, etc.
I don't get it either and I have
lived in Germany twice, Russia twice and visited Europe countless times before
and after.
Americans don't send each other
money through our Bank Accounts (or even give out our banking information.)
Bottom Line: If you don't feel
comfortable donating to someone's Bank Account then don't donate to it.
