I ordered a Congratulations Card and 2 boxes of Cards from Amazon to send as gifts and instead on June 14, 2021 UPS delivered a pack of 20 melon seeds and a pack of pumpkin seeds (although the envelope says there is a Greeting Card inside.) I called Amazon (June 14, 2021 at 5:34 pm) to tell them about it. They will send a replacement Card and replacement 2 boxes of Cards on June 21st and said I could throw away the seeds (that I didn’t need to return them.)
Today (June 16, 2021) I received
the original Congratulations Card and the original 2 boxes of Cards by UPS.
Since I had already called Amazon saying I didn’t get them (and got the seeds
instead) I managed to cancel the replacement Congratulations Card that hadn’t
been shipped yet online. I couldn’t cancel the Replacement 2 boxes of Cards
though since they are already on their way. At 6:49 pm on June 16, 2021 I
called Amazon again to let them know I had received the original items that
even their system said were delivered (and instead I got the seeds.) Since the
2 Card boxes were shipped with dog treats I had ordered separately I didn’t
want to refuse the box on Monday June 21, 2021 from UPS. Instead I asked Amazon
if I could be charged for the 2 boxes of Cards so that I wasn’t receiving
anything for free. Amazon told me I will be charged 30 days from now (July 16,
2021) for these cards and that I will then be able to keep everything sent to
me and have everything paid for.
I shouldn’t have to do all of
this, but there is clearly something wrong with different aspects of Amazon’s
Fulfillment System since my Amazon Account said the Congratulations Card and 2
boxes of Cards was delivered and I got seeds instead and then 2 days later I
got the original orders.
