From the Kabul Small Animal Rescue’s Facebook:
“Our beautiful boy Topol, lost at
the airport in August but thankfully recovered, will be one of over 150dogs and
150 cats that will travel to Canada in early January. KSAR has partnered with
an SPCA International led team of rescues, War Paws, Rain Coast Dog Rescue
Society, Thank Dog I Am Out Dog Rescue, and Marley's Mutts Dog Rescue, to
complete this evacuation into Vancouver. SPCAI will be fundraising for the
massive ground and onward costs of this endeavor, and we still need to raise
what is needed to cover the remainder of the flight costs, most of which were
raised in August and are waiting in our bank account for the charter company.
CUDDLY will continue to assist KSAR in fundraising for these flights.
We are working with many rescues
to place our animals once in North America, which we will share with you in the
coming week. However, only those rescues listed above are working on the
evacuation portion of this mission. We have heard rumors that others have
claimed to be helping us, so please come to us if you have questions about
other organizations. We would not want anyone to get heartlessly scammed. To
donate to these flights, please use our link below.
^ Please help Charlotte
Maxwell-Jones (the American Woman who runs the KSAR in Afghanistan.) Her and
her team have worked hard for years to save and rehouse abandoned and abused
animals. ^
