Dreidel game: Let us start with the Hanukkah's very own game- the "dreidel game." It is a kind of gambling. However, the stakes in the dreidel game are not money, but tasty snacks such as nuts, candies, chocolate coins, and raisins. Dreidel is the classic Chanukkah party game and is best played with a small group of children. Adults can also join them. Four sides of the dreidel are decorated with different Hebrew letters- nun, gimel, hey, and shin. The objective of the game is to collect maximum number of chocolate coins/ candies by spinning the dreidel. Here is how to play the traditional dreidel game. Supplies needed:  A wooden dreidel,  Chocolate coins,  A small pot or bowl,  Number of players: Four to Six How to play: Distribute 20 chocolate coins to each player. Keep a small pot or bowl at the center of the table. Ask the players to put one chocolate coin each into the pot. Choose a player to spin the dreidel first. When the dreidel stops, the player must do the action, depending on which letter (nun, gimel, hey or shin) is facing up when the dreidel stops. If the player spins "nun," then he does nothing- neither take nor put coin into the pot. If he spins "gimel," then he is entitled to take all the coins in the pot. If the player spins "hey," then half of the coins in the pot are given to him. If the player spins "shin," he has to put a coin in the pot. The player with maximum number of chocolate coins is declared the winner. Give five to ten chances to each player, so that the game is not too long to become boring.

 "Pin the Candle on the Menorah": This is another popular game with an interesting plot. As the name suggests, the objective of this game is to pin the missing candle on the picture of Menorah that is drawn on a large sheet of paper and hung on the wall. Here is how to play "pin the candle on the Menorah." Supplies needed: Large sheet of paper, Blindfold, Paper cut out of a candle, Double sided tape, Number of players: Five How to play: Before the game starts, draw a Menorah on a large sheet of paper or cardboard with one of the candles missing. Hang it on the wall. Draw a candle separately, cut it out, and stick a double-sided tape on it. This is the candle, which should be placed on the vacant place for candle in the Menorah. Place a blindfold over the first player's eyes and spin him/her around twice or thrice before you hand over the candle to the player. The game continues until all the players are given their chance to stick the candle on the Menorah. The player who sticks the candle closest is declared the winner.
