6 Things to do One Month Before Christmas
Christmas is barely a month away
and we have just the list for you! We give you a number of things that you
should get started on, a month before Christmas. This will not only help you
stay organized all through the month, but will also let you enjoy the
festivities to the fullest.
1. Make a to-do list First and foremost, make a list of all
the things that form a part of the Christmas celebrations. Make sure you do not
leave out stuff that may not seem as important. The more precise and specific
you are while making this list, the easier your job will be. You can probably
segregate things based on their priority and urgency level and divide your time
accordingly. This will allow you to multi-task and make the most of this one
month.
2. Make a gift-list It is a very wise idea to beat the Christmas
shopping rush and make the gift list well in advance. Take into account all the
relatives, siblings, and most importantly your kids. It will do you a world of
good if you finish your shopping by late November or early December. This way,
you will be able to devote more time to picking up just the right gift for the
right family member.
3. Get started with the
Christmas cards If you haven’t yet
started working on the Christmas cards, then we suggest you get on with it as
soon as possible. Start buying and writing the cards. Be ready with your
mailing list and be clear about what messages you want to write for your loved
ones. In case of military postings, make sure you send them by early December.
4. Start with the decorations You need not put on all of your Christmas
decorations a month in advance. However, it is a good idea to get started with
them and keep adding to the decorations as the festival draws near. This way,
you will feel less hassled about the decorations a week before Christmas and
will be able to devote more time to the task. Also, the right kind of
decoration requires a lot of creative thinking. Make sure you give yourself
enough time for developing such a thought process.
5. Have a play-list ready It is a good idea to have a CD, or an iPod
playlist of all your favorite Christmas songs and carols. This may seem like a
petty task but it will truly add to your Christmas cheer. You can have the
playlist ready on the D-day and it can be used as background music for all the
Christmas festivities!
6. Start planning the
Christmas dinner The Christmas
dinner is going to be one of the main aspects of Xmas celebrations. In order to
have that perfect meal, you must start with the prep in advance. Be ready with
the menu and start gathering all the non-perishable items. Focus on recipes
that can be frozen and taken out on Christmas eve. Make sure you buy all the
necessary crockery, linen, and other dinner table essentials.
