It was nice to see the "Olympic Athletes from Russia" walk out not as "Russian Athletes" and not under the Russian flag. The Russians take the Olympics (especially the Winter Ones) very seriously. I remember the 2002 Salt Lake City Games while living in Russia and there was some scandal with Canadians getting a medal over Russians and calls of cheating by the French judge. No Americans were actually involved yet since it happened in the US I got flak for it by ordinary Russians for months. Now we can give the Russians flak for their Government's doping scandal.
