Update on
FedEx: A friend sent me a package and it was supposed to have arrived last Tuesday (December
8th.) I kept getting e-mails from FedEx telling me, at the start of
the day, that the package was on the truck to be delivered that day and then,
at the end of the day, that there was a “delivery exception” and it wasn’t
coming. One day it was sunny and dry and FedEx couldn’t come. The next day we
had some snow and FedEx couldn’t come. The third day they didn’t even bother
with a reason and just didn’t come.
Yesterday (December 11th) FedEx
finally delivered the package. They came around 5:40 pm and so it was
pitch-black on my mountain. Luckily, everything inside the package was fine
(there were some fragile and perishable things inside.) I heard FedEx is in
charge of delivering the Covid-19 vaccine to the West Coast of the US so
hopefully they do a better job with that then they did with their regular job
of delivering packages. I’m glad UPS is handling the Covid-19 vaccine here on
the East Coast.
