Raking

For the first time in 11 years I did not have to rake the leaves. I hate raking leaves and there are a lot of them since we are surrounded by forests. This year I decided to hire the landscaper that also plows our driveway. He was supposed to have come on Tuesday (when it was cold, but dry) and couldn’t so him and his crew came at 7 am yesterday morning and worked in the snow and sleet. I had to go into town (when I left my house it was snowing at a good clip and when I got to town it was raining heavily – the different is because of the elevation.) When I came back home the property looked great. They cleared all the leaves on the driveway, the walkways, the different yards, the bushes, the woods and in the drainage areas. What usually took me 8-10 hours to do took these three guys 3 ½ hours. I am very impressed with their work and speed – especially in such cold and wet conditions. I hope to use them again next Fall. Now to get ready for the bigger snow on Friday.
