Bataan Memorial March
Our daughter, Marissa, will be participating in the Bataan Memorial March with her Air Force JROTC class on November 6th & 7th. This march is to commemorate the 60,000-80,000 American and Filipino prisoners of war who were forced to walk more than 60 miles on April 9, 1942, an event during which thousands perished. Cadets are challenged to honor the brave soldiers who experienced the Bataan Death March by hiking 14 miles within a designated time frame.
As part of this
march, the class will be collecting donations based on number of miles hiked
(or a flat amount) for Operation Decisive Victory of Charlotte. All donations will go to the foundation and
be used throughout the country to help veterans.
If you would
like to donate, please let us know. Please keep in mind if you donate per mile,
the amount of your donation will be multiplied by 14, assuming completion. For
example: $1 per mile walked would be a total donation of $14. A flat/single
donation can be made in any amount. Donations are due by November 16th and any
checks should be made payable to NC-955 Booster Club.

a close friend of mine. Not only does it help a friend I have known for over 20 years, but it also remembers the sacrifices of the American and Filipino Soldiers that were forced on the Bataan Death March in 1942 as well as helping American Soldiers and Veterans today. If you are interested in donating then comment on this
post and I will give you the contact information. Thank you. ^
