Our Consolidated Communications Internet went out today.
I called their Internet Repair Number on July 16, 2021 at 2pm and the 1st person I spoke to checked the system and said the earliest appointment was on Tuesday July 20th. I asked if they could come today or this weekend and was told “No.” I then told the guy I was going to be on vacation from July 19-23, 2021. So he gave me the appointment of July 26, 2021 between the morning and 7 pm. I asked to speak with a Supervisor and after 20 minutes on hold was cut-off by CCI.
I called CCI again and another
guy told me he would put in a request for service work this weekend (July
17-18th) or the weekend of July 24-25th. He said he wouldn’t know if the
request would go through since a Service Tech would call me. He gave me a ticket number.
After speaking with him I went to
CCI account (using Hughes Net backup Internet) and saw they still had an Order Ticket
Number for July 20th. I sent them the following message through their website
on July 16, 2021:
“The Internet is out today (July
16, 2021) I called Internet Repair and was told they would come next Tuesday
(July 20th.) I work from home and only
have CCI Internet (and Phone) to work with - no cell phones or anything
else. I told them I will be on vacation
from July 19-23, 2021. I was given the appointment date of July 26, 2021. I
would like to know that the July 26th appointment is valid - because on CCI's
website it says July 20th. Thank you for your time.”
I am now waiting for a response so am not able to post regularly until the CCI Internet comes back on. We have the Hughes Net back-up Internet but it doesn't work if it's raining and doesn't let you Stream or Download and has a Meter-Usage.
