Follow The Numbers

People use the terms “Genocide” and “Ethnic Cleansing” a lot – especially lately. Here’s some examples, with numbers, that should help show it better.

Note: 1948 was when the State of Israel was created.

1.      Morocco:

In 1948 there were 265,000 Jews living in French Morocco.

In 2023 there are only 2,000 Jews living in Morocco.

The Jews in French Morocco (Vichy German Collaborators) survived the Holocaust from 1940-1944, but the Anti-Jewish riots in Oujda and Jerada in June 1948 – where 47 Jews were murdered by the Moroccans (not the French) saw 18,000 Moroccan Jews flee within the 1 year and another 250,000 Moroccan Jews fleeing the Pogroms by 1956 (when Morocco gained its Independence from France) and between 1961-1964 97,000 Moroccan Jews fled to safety under Operation Yachin.

2.      Algeria:

In 1948 there were 140,000 Jews living in French Algeria.

In 2023 there are only 200 Jews living in Algeria.

The 1934 Constantine Riots saw 22 Algerian Jews murdered and 200 wounded by the Algerians (not the French.) When Algeria gained its Independence from France in 1962 it created a Nationality Law that made Algerian Jews Stateless (despite having had Citizenship from 1870-1940 and from 1944-1962 (losing it during the French Vichy Nazi Collaboration Period.) The Great Synagogue of Algiers was abandoned in 1994.

3.      Tunisia:

In 1948 there were 105,000 Jews in Tunisia.

In 2023 there are 1,500 Jews in Tunisia.

4.      Libya:

In 1948 there were 38,000 Jews living in Libya.

Since 2002 there have been no Jews living in Libya.

5.      Iraq:

In 1948 there were 156,000 Jews living in Iraq.

In 2023 there are only 3 Jews living in Iraq.

6.      Egypt:

In 1948 there were 80,000 Jews living in Egypt.

In 2023 there are only 2 Jews living in Egypt.

7.      Turkey:

In 1948 there were 450,000 Jews living in Turkey.

In 2023 there are only 14,500 Jews living in Turkey.

8.      Afghanistan:

In 1948 there were 10,300 Jews living in Afghanistan.

In 2023 there are 0 Jews living in Afghanistan.

9.      Lebanon:

In 1948 there were 10,000 Jews living in Lebanon.

In 2023 there are only 29 Jews living in Lebanon.

10: Iran:

In 1948 there were 150,000 Jews living in Iran.

In 2023 there are only 8,300 Jews living in Iran.

In 1948 there were 700,000 Palestinians living in Israel.

In 2023 there are 2.3 Million Palestinians living in Israel.

Note: This number doesn’t include the Israeli Arabs, the Bedouin or the Druze that aren’t Palestinian or the Palestinians living in Gaza or the West Bank.

Jews in most of the Arab/Muslim Countries have been forced to flee due to Pogroms and Official Deportations since 1948 while the Palestinians living in Israel have increased due to Official Tolerance since 1948.

Following the numbers and knowing the History shows you the truth of who was and still is being discriminated against.
