Today is Day of the Deployed.

Out of the 1,328,000 Men and Women in the US Military 167,206 are deployed around the World.

Here are the numbers deployed around the World according to location:

 

In Europe: 67,395

In The Former Soviet Union: 240

In East Asia and the Pacific: 84,093

In North Africa, Near East and South Asia: 6,561

In Sub-Saharan Africa: 1,035

In the Western Hemisphere: 1,947

On the Oceans on Ships and in Unknown Destinations: 5,935

 

 

These numbers do include the US Marines stationed at the American Embassies and Consulates around the World.

These numbers don’t include the American Civilian Federal Employees working for the US Military around the World.

These numbers don’t include the American Civilian Contract Workers working for the US Military around the World.

These numbers don’t include the American Military Spouses and Military Children (Military Brats) living around the World because their Spouse or Parent is in the US Military.
