I know there are some out there who don't like Drag and try to use their religion or their so-called morals to justify their hatred and their violence against those that do like Drag.
When I worked at an Overnight Summer
Camp for the Mentally and Physically Disabled in New York from 2000-2003 the
Male Counselors got dressed in Drag and sang and danced in front of the
Campers.
We did this in front of Children
Campers. They chose the song, our dance moves and our outfits (the Female
Counselors helped us get dressed though) and they had a fantastic time.
That was in 2000 and I saw many of
the same Children again in 2001, 2002 and 2003 and none were dramatized by the
experience and neither were any of their Parents/Guardians when they learned
about it.
In fact, most of the Children had
their autographed pictures (the Male Counselors signed them at the end of the
Camp Session) with them in their photo albums they brought to Camp each Summer.
I haven't dressed in Drag since the
second picture in 2001 (it’s just not my thing – but that doesn’t mean I hate,
despise and want to hurt those who do. Those who like it should do it.)
My point: You can dislike something
(like Drag) and that’s fine, but what isn’t fine is when you became nasty and
violent against those that aren’t doing anything violent themselves. If you do
you lose any moral clause you claim to have and you are the Criminal.
