From Gen. H.H. Arnold High School/Wiesbaden High School’s Facebook:
Wiesbaden High School (formerly H.H. Arnold High School)
celebrated its 75th Anniversary on April 14, 2023.
From 1945-1948 Wiesbaden didn’t have its own High School, Students
were bussed to Frankfurt to attend a High School until Facilities became
available in 1948. Between 1949 and 1950 the students and faculty chose to name
the school General H. H. Arnold High School, who was General of the Army and
General of the Air Force during and immediately after World War II. The School
moved to its current location (though not the same building) in January 1955.
In 2006, General H. H. Arnold High School officially became
Wiesbaden High School. Construction for the current campus began in 2009 and
went through different phases of construction. In 2017, construction of the
current main building was completed, and Wiesbaden High School became the first
21st-century-designed high school in Department of Defense Education Activity
(DoDEA) Europe.
