Zelenskyy In Canada
Ukrainian
President Zelenskyy is in Canada today meeting the Canadian Prime Minister Carney.
Canada still supports Ukraine in its fight against Russia

Kharkiv Pride 2026
Kharkiv,
Ukraine – Ukraine’s 2nd Largest City and which is only 18 miles from
the Russian Border – has been bombed and attacked more times since February
2022 than any only Ukrainian City.
Despite
the Russian Attacks Life in Kharkiv continues.
Kharkiv
held a Pride Fest from September 5-6, 2026.
It
was supported by 22 Businesses, had 24 Separate Events across the City and had
600 People attend (not bad for a Front-Line City at War.)
The
Event also raised ₴75,000 Ukrainian Hryvnia (or $1,681 US Dollars) for a Pickup
Truck for the Ukrainian Military.
While
Russia arrests, tortures and murders Homosexuals across Russia and
Russian-Occupied Ukraine Ukrainian Homosexuals in Ukrainian-Held Ukraine are
showing Putin, the Russian People and the World that that will continue to live
and celebrate despite Russia’s War Crimes against them.
596 Days
The Republicans have been in full control of the United States Federal Government for 596 days.
President
(Republican)
House
of Representatives (Republican-Controled)
Senate
(Republican-Controled)
If
you agree with what they have done in the past 596 days then you should vote to
have the Republicans keep control of the Senate and the House this November.
If
you do not agree with that they have done in the past 596 days then you should
vote to have the Democrats gain control of the Senate and the House this
November - making Trump a "Lameduck
President" - for the rest of his Term.
After
596 days there is no one else to blame or praise for the way things are in the
US but the Republicans.
One-Way Street
Sadly
many relationships (Family and Friends) are only "one way streets."
That's
where one person is the only one - or at
least the main one - to initiate contact with another person.
People
often use the excuse that they are busy or they forgot, but if you really cared
you would remember and find the time.
Everyone
is busy.
Everyone
forgets things.
Those
aren't good excuses - especially in a world of IMs, e-mails, cell phones,
FaceTime, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, regular mail, landline phones, etc.
I
hope that I am not the person who is too busy or who forgets people.

Line: Check in on your Family, your Friends, the Elderly, the Sick, the
Disabled, your Neighbors, etc.

AfD
The Alternative for Germany (German: Alternative für Deutschland) or AfD just won the Election in the German State of Saxony-Anhalt.
(One
of many Rallies held across Germany in 2026 after the AfD won in the
Saxony-Anhalt State Election.
in
Saxony-Anhalt is the 8th largest State in Germany with a population
of 2.14 Million People.
Its
State Capital is Magdeburg.
From
1945-1990 it was part of Communist East Germany.
AfD
won received 43.8% of the vote in the State Election last Sunday so they did
not receive a Majority and need another Party to help them govern in the State.
It
is the first time that a Neo-Nazi Party won a State or Federal Election in Germany.
What
is the AfD?
The
AfD is a Neo-Nazi Party created on February 6, 2013.
It
follows a belief of “Völkisch Nationalist” (German: Völkischer Nationalismus)
or that Germany should only be for the Germans not only by getting rid of Legal
Immigrants but also by using the same basic Racial Policies that the Nazis used
from 1933-1945 to determine who is a “Pure German” and which led to the
Holocaust and the Murder of 6 Million Jews, 1 Million Roma and Sinti, 10
Million Slavs, etc.
In
short the AfD is:
Against
Non-Germans legally living in Germany
Against
Germany being part of the European Union
Against
Germany being part of the Schengen Travel Area
Against Germany using the Euro
Against Germany being part of NATO (the
North Atlantic Treaty Organization)
Is
Pro-Russia
Is
Anti-United States of America
Want
to reintroduce Forced Russian Language Classes in all Schools the way it was in
Communist East Germany from 1945-1990
Want
to make Gay Marriage Illegal again (it has been legal in Germany since 2017)
Want
to make it illegal to be Homosexual - the way it was in Germany from 1871 until
1994 under Paragraph 175 (which saw Homosexuals not only arrested but also
murdered under the Nazis)
In
December 2023, AfD distributed a flier in Gifhorn titled "Kindheit unterm
Regenbogen" ("Childhood Under the Rainbow"), linking the queer
community to pedophilia and genital mutilation, speaking of a "rainbow
regime.”
Want
to ban the flying of the Gay Pride Rainbow Flag in Germany
Alice
Weidel, Co-Chairwomen of AfD since 2022 is an open Lesbian with 2 Children.
According
to her own AfD Party they would arrest her for being Gay and force her to stay
in the Kitchen and not work.
Want
to end Germany’s “Culture of Shame” that has been around since 1945 and the
World learned that the Germans murdered 20 Million Men, Women and Children.
Are
Anti-Semitic (Anti-Jewish) and believe “the Holocaust is propaganda of the
Allied Powers (ie the Americans, British, French and Soviets) -according to 10
AfD Leaders who were part of the Facebook Group “The Patriots.”
These
10 Leaders used a Meme of the Holocaust Victim Anne Frank's face edited on a
pizza box labelled with the German equivalent of "fresh from the oven."
Believe
in Holocaust Denial
Björn
Höcke an AfD Leader was fined 13,000 Euros in 2023 by the German Courts for using Nazi
Slogans supporting “Lebensraum” (taking over more living space) and “Alles für
Deutschland” or Everything for Germany.
Do
not believe Germany should have Holocaust Memorials or Museums
Want
to make it illegal to have Kosher Food in Germany
They
are anti-Israel
Are
Anti-Muslim and want to ban Halal Food in Germany
They
used the following slogan on a billboard (in German): “"Islam does not
belong to Germany. Its expansion and the ever-increasing number of Muslims in
the country are viewed by the AfD as a danger to our state, our society, and
our values.”
In
January 2025 they distributed flyers resembling flight tickets labeled
"Abschiebetickets" ("Deportation Tickets") in mailboxes with
Muslim-sounding Last Names
Want
to ban Abortion across Germany
Want
to ban Circumcision across Germany
Believes
Women should only be in the Kitchen cooking and raising Children – not working
Want
to bring back Military Conscription in Germany (which was ended in 2011
If
you think the Nazis can't happen again think again.
The
Nazis started in the 1920s and didn't get a full majority of votes in the
Elections but still managed to take over all of Germany and murder Millions of
Men, Women and Children.
I
believe the AfD are capable of the same.

1982 Vs 2026
The
Falklands War (Spanish: Guerra de las Malvinas) was a 10 week War fought
between the United Kingdom and Argentina from April 2-June 14, 1982.
The
Falkland Islands had been a British Territory for 149 years when Argentina
decided to invade and occupy the Islands in 1982.
At
the time Argentina was ruled by a brutal Military Junta (the National
Reorganization Process) since 1976.
There
were 60 British Soldiers on the Falkland Islands when the Argentinians invaded
in 1982 with 10,000 Soldiers.
During
the Argentinian Occupation of the Falkland Islands forced the 1,810 British
Civilians living on the Falkland Islands to:
Use
Spanish instead of English
Call
their Capital Puerto Argentino instead of Port Stanley
Drive
on the Right-Hand Side instead of the Left-Hand Side
Turn
in their Radios and Cameras
Carry
Argentinian Identification Papers in Spanish
Use
the Argentine Peso instead of the Falkland Islands Pound
Be
inside during the Curfew
After
74 days of Occupation the Falkland Islands were liberated by the British.
Casualties:
255
British Soldiers were killed and another 777 were injured.
3
Falkland Islander Civilians were killed.
649
Argentinian Soldiers were killed and another 1,188 were wounded.
Aftermath
of the War:
The
Military Junta in Argentina collapsed because of its defeat in the Falkland
Islands War in 1983.
The
Falkland Islanders received full British
Citizenship in 1983.
The
Falkland Islands was made into “Fortress Falklands” (including a large Base RAF
Mount Pleasant) with a huge British Military build-up so another Invasion and
Occupation couldn’t happen again.
In
September 2026 Argentinian President Javier Milei stated that he wants to
retake the Falkland Islands
Britain
vs Argentina: 2026 Military Power Comparison:
BRITAIN
•
2 Aircraft Carriers (HMS Queen Elizabeth & Prince of Wales)
•
9 Nuclear Submarines
•
120+ Typhoons & F-35B Stealth Fighters
•
52 Royal Navy Surface Vessels
•
500+ Fixed-Wing Aircraft & 240+ Helicopters
•
4,000+ Combat Vehicles
•
Continuous At-Sea Nuclear Deterrent
•
Full Global Logistics, Intelligence & Refueling Reach
ARGENTINA
•
0 Aircraft Carriers
•
0 Nuclear Submarines
•
24 F-16s (currently being introduced from Denmark)
•
Limited air-to-air refueling capability
•
0 Nuclear Weapon
It
would be stupid for Argentina to try and invade and occupy the Falkland Islands
now or in the future since the United Kingdom has a lot more Military Presence
there now then they did in 1982,

Falklands Change
From Explore GB’s Facebook Post:
Argentina
couldn’t retake the Falklands today if it tried.
Zero
active subs, an aging fleet, and zero air-refueling capability to get their
newly acquired F-16s to the islands and back.
Meanwhile,
Britain has 1,500 troops, Sky Sabre air defence, and 4 Typhoons on Quick
Reaction Alert at Mount Pleasant.
It’s
not 1982 anymore, the UK built an unsinkable fortress, and Argentina lacks the
power projection to even approach it.
Despite
suggesting the US might withhold support, the UK requires zero American
assistance to defend the Falkland Islands

Skies Shutting
Major
Moscow Airports faced severe disruptions, with dozens of flight cancellations
and delays, following Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's warning on
September 1st that Russian Airspace will be closed by swarms of Ukrainian
drones.
For
two consecutive nights, Vnukovo and Sheremetyevo Airports suspended all
Arrivals and Departures after Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency,
Rosaviatsia, imposed temporary restrictions.
Data
showed 21 flights cancelled and 235 delayed at Sheremetyevo and 22 cancelled
and 94 delayed at Vnukovo, leaving Passengers stranded on terminal floors.
Kyiv
has formally asked the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to
advise Airlines to avoid Russia, citing unsafe conditions.
The
War is finally coming home to the Russians.

He
attended St. John’s University on a Scholarship and played Baseball there.
In
1988 he was named MVP of the Big East Conference.
He
signed with the Detroit Tigers and played Pro-Baseball for 2 years.
He
was forced to leave that Career due to an injury.
In
1994 Michael joined the New York Fire Department (FDNY.)
His
Father, Morty, had been a Firefighter for 15 years.
During
his free time he Volunteered at the NY Burn Center and brought food to the
Homeless at St. Francis of Assisi Church.
On
September 11, 2001 Michael was waiting to tee off at the Forest Park Golf Course
in Queens as he had the day off.
When
he saw what was happening at the World Trade Center he raced from the Clubhouse
to the Firehouse.
Because
of the heavy traffic he abandoned hos Car in Long Island City and climbed onto
a passing Emergency Vehicle.
He
was in Ladder 24, Engine 1 and drove Father Mychal Judge and Captain Dan
Brethel to the World Trade Center.
Michael’s
Sister, Patricia, worked for Morgan Stanley at Two trade Center on the 72nd
Floor.
Michael
did not know if she was dead, still in the burning World Trade Center or had
managed to evacuate.
Michael
took shelter beneath a Fire Trunk when the South Tower came down on him.
He
did not survive.
Neither
did Father Mychal Judge or Captain Dan Brethel.
His
Sister, Patricia, managed to escape the World Trade Center and survived, but
Michael never knew that.
Standing
on the Brooklyn Bridge as the First Tower fell and killed Michael Patricia
received a phone call on her cellphone from her and Michael’s Older Brother who
said:
“Thank
God you’re all right and Michael is on vacation.”
Michael
Weinberg could have stayed on vacation 25 years ago and lived, but he went to
help his Sister and anyone else he could and died at the age of 34.

Russia Bombed
In August 2026 Ukraine attacked Russia with 18,000 Dones.
(Ukrainian
Drone attack on Moscow, Russia)
Targets
hit include: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yaroslavl, Perm, Krasnodar, and many other
Cities Thousands of Miles away from the Ukrainian Border.
Ukrainian
President Zelenskyy says that started this month (September) he hopes to fire
1,000 Drones a day on Russia.
Russia
and the Russian People have been enjoying their War Crimes inside of Ukraine
since February 2022 and now the War is coming to every Russian’s doorstep.
Russia
has already been bombed and attacked 41,000 times since February 2022.
It
costs Russia $40,000 US Dollars to kill a Ukrainian Soldier or Civilian with 1
of its Drones (mainly because it has to get the parts from Iran, North Korea or
China.)
It
costs Ukraine $848 US Dollars to kill a Russian Soldier with 1 of its Drones.
Ukraine
has also warned Civilian Aircraft from flying into, through or out of Russia.
Some
Foreign Airlines have already cancelled many flights to, from and within
Russia.
No
Russian Airline has cancelled any flights because they are owned by the Russian
Government and it doesn’t matter to Putin or his Government if Russian Men,
Women and Children are killed.
84: Children
84 years ago today (September 4, 1942) in the Lodz Ghetto (renamed Litzmannstadt by the Germans) in German-Occupied Lodz, Poland the Head of the Judenrat or Jewish Council (a Group formed by the Germans to carry out the running of the Ghetto) Chaim Rumkowski gave a public speech to the Inhabitants of the Ghetto in which he asked them to give up their Children, the Disabled, the Sick and the Elderly to the Germans for certain death.
The
Lodz Ghetto was created by the Germans on April 30, 1940 and initially housed
163,777 People, but the Closure of smaller Ghettos across German-Occupied
Poland and the Deportation of Jews from Germany and Austria brought the number
210,000 Men, Women and Children held in the Lodz Ghetto.
The
Deportations to the Death Camps from the Lodz Ghetto began in December 1941 and
initially everyone (except the Germans) thought the Residents were being sent
to Slave Labor Camps.
By
August 1942 everyone in the Lodz Ghetto knew that Deportation from the Ghetto
meant certain death as 55,000 Men, Women and Children from the Ghetto had
already been Deported and the trains came back with their blood-stained clothes
(which the Inhabitants of the Ghetto had to clean to be sent to Germany.)
Chaim
Rumkowski initially used the Deportations to get rid of anyone in the Ghetto he
did not like, but the Germans kept demanding more and more People and so
Rumkowski came up a deal to give the Germans the 13,000 Children and the 11,000
Elderly People left in the Lodz Ghetto with the hope to save the other,
“Productive” Adults.
On
September 4, 1942 Chaim Rumkowski said:
“A
grievous blow has struck the Ghetto. They [the Germans] are asking us to give
up the best we possess – the Children and the Elderly. I was unworthy of having
a Child of my own, so I gave the best years of my life to Children. I've lived
and breathed with Children, I never imagined I would be forced to deliver this
sacrifice to the altar with my own hands. In my old age, I must stretch out my
hands and beg: Brothers and Sisters! Hand them over to me! Fathers and Mothers:
Give me your Children!”
The
next Morning every single Man, Woman and Child in the Ghetto was forbidden to
leave their homes as the Germans and Jewish Ghetto Police went door-to-door and
took every Child under 10 years old, all the Sick and all the Elderly.
500
People were shot during the Round-Up inside the Ghetto.
24,000
People (13,000 Children and 11,000 Elderly) were Deported from the Lodz Ghetto
that day and sent to the Chelmno Death Camp 37 miles away where they were
stripped naked, forced to walk through confusing Hallways until they reached a
door and entered a room.
That
room was really a Gas Van (Vans that drove around while the People inside were
suffocated to death by the toxic gas fumes being pumped inside.)
After
20 minutes everyone inside the Vans was dead. Their Bodies were then burned.
Chaim
Rumkowski was deported to the Auschwitz Death Camp on August 28, 1944 where the
Jewish Sonderkommando (Jewish Prisoners forced by the Germans to work during
the Selection and in the Gas Chambers) beat him to death (at the door of
Crematorium 2) for his role in murdering the Jews.
The
Lodz Ghetto was liquidated by the Germans in August 1944.
A
handful of People were left in the Ghetto to clean it up.
When
the Soviet Red Army entered Lodz on January 19, 1945, only 877 Jews were still
alive, 12 of whom were Children (who had been hidden inside the Ghetto.)
Of
the 223,000 Jews in Lodz before the German Invasion, only 10,000 survived the
Holocaust in other places.

57: ATM
57
years ago today (September 2, 1969) the first Automated Teller Machine (ATM)
was used in the United States.
It
was only 2 months since the Americans put the first Men on the Moon and it was
at a time when American Women had to have Male Permission for everything from Getting
their Own Passport to opening a Bank Account.
Unmarried
Women had to have their Father or Brother’s permission and Married Women had to
have their Husband’s permission.
Chemical
Bank (now part of JP Morgan) installed a prototype ATM in the US at its branch
in Rockville Centre, New York.
The first ATMs were designed to dispense a
fixed amount of cash when a User inserted a specially coded card.
A
Chemical Bank advertisement boasted "On Sept. 2 our Bank will open at 9:00
and never close again.”
ATMs
turned Banking from a 9 am to 3 pm chore (at a time when 99% of Americans used
cash to buy things) to a 24/7 service.
The
only catch was that ATMs only accepted Cards from their own Bank.
It
wasn’t until the late 1970s that you could use your Card in any ATM regardless
of which Bank owned it.
There
are currently 330,535 ATMs across the US and 4.2 Million around the World.
V-J Day
Travel Bubble
From the BBC:
“Zelensky
says airlines should avoid Russian airspace as Ukraine escalates drone
operations”
Ukraine's
president has told airlines that Russian airspace will be "effectively
closing" as his country escalates its drone strikes. "We want to warn
every airline that uses Russian airspace, every insurer, everyone who still
uses key Russian airports: the Russian sky is becoming completely
dangerous," Volodymyr Zelensky said. Ukraine has since formally notified
the UN of the risks to civilian aviation. Russian President Vladimir Putin said
the comments amounted to a "declaration of state terrorism".
Most
Western commercial airlines do not fly over Russia because of the ongoing
Russian invasion of Ukraine, but carriers in countries like Turkey and China
do. Explaining the elevated airspace risk in his nightly video address on
Tuesday, Zelensky said that "Ukraine does not threaten civilian aviation
as such - not a single civilian aircraft" and did not want the loss of
innocent lives.
"There
will simply be drones in Russia's skies on a scale that has to be taken into
account," he said. Zelensky directed the warning to airlines continuing to
operate flights to Russian airports, especially in major cities like St
Petersburg and Moscow. In a statement on X, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said
that Ukraine had officially notified the International Civil Aviation
Organization that Russian airspace was not safe for civilian aviation. "We
want to prevent unintended incidents," he said, adding: "The war is
returning home to Russia."
On
Wednesday afternoon, flight tracking website FlightRadar24 showed many planes
flying over Russia, including arriving and departing from the two main
airports, which had some delays, but few cancellations.
Several
airlines that fly through Russia told the BBC that they were carefully
monitoring the situation. Qatar Airways, which flies into Moscow and travels
through Russian airspace to get to the US west coast, said its flight planning
was "guided by rigorous and continuous monitoring of airspace security,
safety assessments, and geopolitical developments". Turkish low-cost
airline Pegasus cancelled its flights to Russia on Tuesday and Wednesday,
citing "technical and operational reasons", but said future flights
"are operating as scheduled". FlyDubai, an Emirati government-owned
carrier, told the BBC that it would "closely monitor the evolving
situation in the region and adjust our flight schedules and routings as
necessary".
Ukraine
has targeted energy facilities deep inside Russian territory and there have
been repeated attacks on depots belonging to Russia's two biggest online
retailers, Wildberries and Ozon.
Its
drone attacks have for months led to disruption at some of Russia's biggest
airports, especially in Moscow where at times all four major airports have been
forced to halt arrivals and departures.
Several
cancellations were reported on Wednesday. Ukraine does not have to target
airports to cause disruption. Under Russia's air defence "Kovyor"
(carpet) plan, flights are suspended if a drone is detected in the relevant
area. Aviation risk advisory firm Osprey Flight Solutions said in an alert to
clients that while the majority of Ukraine's drone and missile strikes were
likely to occur within 300km (186 miles) of the border, daily attacks deeper
inside Russia were almost certain to continue this year.
"There is also a realistic possibility
that the frequency of Ukrainian strikes will continue to increase in the short
term deep inside Russian territory," the alert added. "It is assessed
that miscalculation and/or misidentification is likely in areas related to the
Ukraine conflict." Speaking to reporters at the Shanghai Co-operation
Organisation summit in Kyrgyzstan, Putin said: "They are asking us to
resume negotiations... but you don't negotiate with terrorists." His
comments come as Russia's attacks on Ukraine continue, with heavy strikes
killing 12 people on Tuesday and further attacks on Odesa, Sumy and Kyiv on
Wednesday. Russia's military has said it is preparing to carry out
"massive" strikes on Ukrainian power stations.
The
Ukrainian capital and its surrounding region have come under attack for seven
days in a row. A few weeks ago, Zelensky said Russia was attacking Ukraine
every day, and Ukraine's military had "begun the process of bringing the
war back to Russia". At the weekend he said the same, that Russia had to
feel the war was "returning to where it came from". Putin
acknowledged that Ukrainian strikes had damaged infrastructure inside Russia,
while insisting that "only 10%" of oil refineries were left to
repair.
Chinese,
Turkish and Gulf state airlines are among those using Russian airspace, with
savings in time and fuel on routes between Asia and Europe. Other carriers have
largely avoided the eastern European region since the beginning of Russia's
full-scale invasion in February, 2022. Ukraine has closed its airspace to
civilian aircraft throughout that period. The risks of civil aviation during a
war are clear. A few months after war broke out in eastern Ukraine in 2014
between Russian-backed separatists and the Ukrainian military, a Russian-made
missile brought down a passenger plane, killing all 298 people on board. Last
year, the UN aviation agency ruled that Russia was responsible for the downing
of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 over eastern Ukraine in July 2014. The Kremlin
has always denied any responsibility for the air disaster. In 2024, Putin
apologised to the president of neighbouring Azerbaijan over the downing of a
commercial airliner in Russian airspace, in which 38 people were killed. He said
the "tragic incident" had occurred when Russian air defence systems
were repelling Ukrainian drones. A thin, grey banner promoting the News Daily
newsletter. On the right, there is a graphic of an orange sphere with two
concentric crescent shapes around it in a red-orange gradient, like a sound
wave. The banner reads: “The latest news in your inbox first thing.”
^Anyone
(Russian or Foreigner) flying into, through or out of Russia should be very
worried that their plane will be hit by a Ukrainian Drone.
Ukrainian
Airspace has been closed since Russia started its War in February 2022.
Now
it's time for those in Russia to feel the effects of their War not through
Russian Government Controlled Media, but by bombings of Military Targets
disruptions in Air Travel, Fuel Rationing and Shortages throughout Russia.
Russians
don't care how many of their Boys and Men are being killed and wounded in
Ukraine (over a Million and counting) but they do care about not being able to
live in the safety bubble they created for themselves.
It's
time for Ukraine to burst that bubble. ^

Bram Asscher
Bram Asscher
Abraham
“Bram” Asscher was born on August 28, 1924 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
He
was the Son of Eliazer Asscher (1878-1935) and Stephanie Fischer
(1895-unknown).
He
had an older Brother, Isaäc Jacques Asscher (1916), and a younger one, Jacob
(Jeannot, Jean) Asscher (1925).
His
Father was a Diamond Merchant and a Brother of Abraham Asscher (1880-1950), one
of the two Presidents of the German-Appointed Jewish Council (Dutch: Joodse
Raad and German: Judenrat) during the German Occupation of the Netherlands.
Bram’s
Father died in 1945 in Paris, France.
The
Germans invaded and occupied the Netherlands on May 10,1940.
The
Germans forced all Jewish Children to leave Dutch Schools and were only allowed
to attend a Jewish School.
Bram
went to the Jewish Lyceum in Amsterdam for the 1941-1942 School Year.
It
was in Class 4B2 that Bram met Margot Frank (the older Sister of Anne Frank.)
Margot
had been a Student at the Jeker School in Amsterdam, but the Anti-Jewish Laws
created by the Germans in the Netherlands forced her to the Jewish Lyceum.
In
March 1941 Bram’s Mother married Dirk Leendert Tollenaar, a Gentile (ie.
Non-Jewish.)
According
to the German Anti-Jewish Laws she was now in a Mixed Marriage and had an
Exemption from Deportation.
Her
Children, however, were considered to be Full Jews since both their Parents were
Jewish,
Bram’s
Oldest Brother Jacques fled German-Occupied the Netherlands in April 1941.
He
traveled by Train to Brussels, Belgium, Paris, France, then to Spain (which was
Neutral during World War 2) and to Portugal (which was Neutral during World War
2) where he went to the United States (which was Neutral during World War 2 from
September 1, 1939-December 8, 1941) to Canada and then arrived in Scotland, the
United Kingdom in 1942 in order to fight with the Free Dutch Military against
the Germans.
Together
with his Brother Jacob, Bram was transported to the Westerbork Transit Camp in
northern German-Occupied the Netherlands on September 29, 1943.
Bram
was in the “Free’ Section of Westerbork, but met up with Margot (who was in the
Punishment Section of Westerbork because she had been found in Hiding.)
Bram
was allowed to write 1 Letter to his Mother every 14 days.
On
August 25, 1944 Bram wrote his Mother that Margot, Anne and their Parents (who
Bram’s Mother also knew) were in the Punishment Section of Westerbork.
In
the Letter he wrote:
'Mama,
do you know that Margot is here? That friend of Trees. You remember her, don't
you? She's in the S with her Parents and Sister. Very sad!'”
Bram’s
Letter is one of the few Personal Sources that refer to the Frank Family at
Westerbork.
Also
in his letters from Westerbork, Bram often wrote about his Fiancée Trees Lek,
who was held at the Camp Vught together with her two Sisters, and her Parents,
who were with him in Westerbork.
On
September 3, 1944 Margot and her Family were deported on the last Cattle Car
Train from Westerbork to the Auschwitz Death Camp in German-Occupied Poland.
On
September 13, 1944 Bram and his Brother Jacob were deported from Westerbork to
the Bergen-Belsen Concentration Camp in Germany.
On
April 9, 1945 (9 days before Bergen-Belsen was liberated by the British) Bram and
his Brother (along with 2,500 other Prisoners) were forced out of the Camp and
made to walk 6 miles to the Train Station in Celle, Germany where they were put
on a Train headed to the Theresienstadt Ghetto in German-Occupied
Czechoslovakia.
On
April 13, 1945 the Train stopped near Magdeburg, Germany and was liberated by
the Allies.
After
the War, he returned to the Netherlands.
Margot
and Anne Frank and their Parents arrived at the Auschwitz Death Camp 3 days
after their left Westerbork.
Of
the 1,019 Passengers, 549—including all Children younger than 15—were sent
directly to the Gas Chambers and murdered.
The Men were separated from the Women. It was
the last time Margot and Anne saw their Father.
Margot was forced to haul rocks and dig rolls of sod by day; by night, they were crammed into overcrowded barracks. Being outside all day she regularly saw People walking to their deaths in the Gas Chambers.
In
October 1944 their Group was selected to leave Auschwitz and go to the Leibau
Labor Camp, but Anne had contacted Scabies and so went to the Camp’s Hospital
instead.
Margot and their Mother volunteered to stay in
Auschwitz to care for Anne.
On
October 28, 1944, after recovering from Scabies, Anne, Margot and Mrs. Van Pels
left Auschwitz and went to the Bergen-Belsen Concentration Camp in Germany.
Around
March 1945, Anne died from Typhus at 15 years old a few days after her Sister,
Margot who was 18 years old.
They
were both buried in an unknown Mass Grave.
