Major
Moscow Airports faced severe disruptions, with dozens of flight cancellations
and delays, following Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's warning on
September 1st that Russian Airspace will be closed by swarms of Ukrainian
drones.
For
two consecutive nights, Vnukovo and Sheremetyevo Airports suspended all
Arrivals and Departures after Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency,
Rosaviatsia, imposed temporary restrictions.
Data
showed 21 flights cancelled and 235 delayed at Sheremetyevo and 22 cancelled
and 94 delayed at Vnukovo, leaving Passengers stranded on terminal floors.
Kyiv
has formally asked the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to
advise Airlines to avoid Russia, citing unsafe conditions.
The
War is finally coming home to the Russians.
