After the long and aggressive
rhetoric of President Trump about the huge debt of Ukraine to the United States
for military expenses, the figures announced by the Pentagon on Sunday morning,
February 23, 2025, are already far from the $500 billion that Trump announced
from the very beginning. Moreover, it is
not even $350 billion, as was said later.
This morning, the Pentagon reported that
approximately $183 billion was allocated to aid Ukraine. At the same time, it is indicated that $65.9
billion was sent to Ukraine in the form of military aid, and $3.9 billion was
sanctioned by Congress, and this amount remained unappropriated in the United
States.
Further, of the designated and announced $183
billion, about $58 billion was spent in the USA on the development of the US
defense industry, either by replacing old weapons with new ones in warehouses,
while the old ones went to Ukraine, and the new ones remained in the USA, or by
direct investments in the American military industry. The Voice of America writes about it all.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy told
Ukrainian journalists that the total cost of the war since February 2022 was
about $320 billion.
"Of them, $120 billion is from us, the
people of Ukraine, taxpayers, and $200 billion is from the United States and
the European Union," Zelenskyy said.
- This is the cost of the weapon.
This is an arms package - $320 billion."
Pay attention, the President of Ukraine is
talking about the TOTAL financial efforts of the EU and the USA, which in
Trump's presentation turned into exclusively the contribution of the USA, and
what's more, already with higher figures.
And they still won't take it into account that the Biden administration
helped Ukraine on the basis of non-refundable grants, which is also
documented. Such laws are not
retroactive. In fact, the Trump
administration cannot demand anything at all from Ukraine.

says it is. ^
