From the Stars and Stripes:
"Dec. 7, 1941: A date that changed the nation"
As the 74th anniversary of Pearl Harbor approaches, the dwindling number of people who were alive during the attack have differing thoughts and feelings about what happened. According to the Veteran's Administration, some 492 World War II veterans are dying each day. The VA estimates there are 855,070 veterans of the 16 million who served during the war are still alive today. Locals who were alive can all agree on one thing: The attack changed them and the country forever.
^ December 7th - Pearl Harbor Day - should be a national holiday (as should 9-11.) Around the same number of innocent Americans were killed in one day in both attacks, both started a global war and both changed the United States and it's people forever. ^
