100 years ago today (May 28, 1924)
the United States Border Patrol was created.
It has 21,370 Border Agents to
guard the 7, 479 Miles of Land, Sea and Air Borders (5,525 Miles along the
Canadian Border and the 1,954 miles along the Mexican Border.)
Border Agents work to guard the
US at Seaports, Airports and other locations in all 50 US States, DC and the 5
US Territories (American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico and
the US Virgin Islands) and at US Preclearance in: Canada, Ireland, Aruba, the
Bahamas and the United Arab Emirates.
Even while the Congress and the President
do little to help the US Border Patrol stem the tide of the thousands of
Illegals entering the US every day the Border Agents continue to work hard to
do their job and keep America safe.
