^ He spent nearly every Christmas from 1941 to
1994 entertaining the Troops (during World War 2, the Cold War, the Korean War,
the Vietnam War, the Gulf War, etc.) He went to Warzones, Remote Bases in the
Arctic, the Desert, the Jungle, etc. all to bring some cheer to American
Soldiers. His televised Christmas Specials also brought things from the Warzone
into the Homes of Ordinary Americans. ^
