30: Ukraine's Progress

Today (August 24, 1991) is the 30th Anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence. The country has come a long way in those 30 years.

They left the Soviet Communist Dictatorship in 1991 and created a new country from scratch.

They overthrew Viktor Yanukovych’s deadly Dictatorship in 2014.

They have become a Democratic, Modern, Western Country while fighting with Russia in Donbas (4,565 Ukrainian Soldiers have been killed; 10,500 Ukrainian Soldiers have been wounded; 3,387 Ukrainian Civilians have been killed; 1,414,798 Ukrainian Civilians have been internally displaced and 925,500 Ukrainian Civilians have fled abroad since the Russians started the war in 2014) as well as continue to work to free Crimea from the illegal invasion, occupation and annexation by Russia and the anti-Ukrainian and anti-Crimean laws and policies by the Russian Occupation Authorities there.

Ukraine continues to keep Russia at bay while becoming a true Democracy.
