The Seattle Purge Zone has been disbanded because of its 3 week lawlessness, violence, destruction, rapes and deaths. In the end even the Hipsters and the Mayor were crying out for the Seattle Police to help them. I saw that happening from Day 1.
As for NYC: Just wait a few weeks when the same thing happens there and people cry out for the NYPD to restore order (and they don't show up because they were defunded by $1 Billion.)
Taking money away or complete disbanding and still expecting law and order is not a very intelligent thought or solution, but some people have to learn the hard way.
