^ Today marks the Ukrainian Holodomor (Голодомор.) A
Soviet-imposed famine that killed between 7 and 10 million men, women and
children from 1932 to 1933. The following countries officially recognize the
man-made famine as an act of genocide: Australia, Canada, Colombia, Ecuador,
Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Poland,
Portugal, the Ukraine, the United States (along with 18 of the 50 States) and
the Vatican. ^
