Yesterday (Monday) my town finally got around to fixing our dirt, mountain roads from last October's storm and last Winter. While it really needed to be fixed you would think that the town road agent would warn the residents of the area they plan on working at (even if only via the town website) since there are only one way in or out of our area - so you can't take a detour and avoid them - and the roads are small, mountain ones so it is very difficult to drive past the large trucks. Yesterday I was able to stay home all day until around 6 pm when their work stopped and I could drive to our mailbox. Today, they continued to work on my road and seemed to finally finish it (again I stayed home until after 6 pm and then went to the mailbox.) The town hasn't finished the road to my mailbox - they left all their trucks by it so I assume they will continue working there tomorrow. I had planned on going into town to do my errands tomorrow, but it seems I won't be able to again.
The only solace I can take from that is that we are supposed to get severe thunderstorms tomorrow so I can stay home (until around 6 pm when I go to the mailbox) and the town road agent - not a very good man - has to be out working in it.
