My dad just renewed his passport and so I was curious to see how much passports cost around the world. You can compare which countries view foreign travel as a good thing for their citizens (cheaper) vs those that seem to not want it (expensive.)Although you also have to take into account how much the average person in that country makes a month. Also the idea that countries continue to make passports valid for only 5 years is ridulous (most countries now make adult passports valid 10 years and children's passports valid for 5 years.)
