Americans In Haiti

450 US Citizens have been officially evacuated from Haiti to the Dominican Republic since last month.

Another 1,600 US Citizens have officially applied to the US Embassy in Haiti to be evacuated.

Evacuation is hampered because it is near impossible to move around the Capital or the rest of the Country. Helicopters are being used to evacuate Americans and other Foreigners.

Gang Violence has internally displaced 362,000 Haitians, killed at least 3,700 and seen 2,490 kidnappings.

Haitian President Jovenel Moïse from 2017-2021 was assassinated and President and Prime Minister Ariel Henry in office since 2021 resigned on March 11, 2024.

The Main International Airport in Port-au-Prince has been closed with 80% of the Capital controlled by Gangs.

A Multinational Security Support Mission (with Kenya, Jamaica, Bahamas, Guyana, Barbados, and Antigua and Barbuda, as well as Bangladesh, Benin, and Chad.) have pledged to send 1,000 Police into Haiti with the US pledging $300 Million to finance the Mission, but so far there are no International Policemen/women in Haiti.

American Citizens needing help in Haiti (or any Foreign Country) can contact their nearest US Embassy or call 1-888-407-4747 in the US and Canada or +1-202-501-4444 Overseas.
