The Massacre of Bucha, Ukraine
(Ukrainian: Бучанська різанина
and in Russian: Резня в Буче)
2 years ago from March 1-April 1,
2022 the Russian Military committed War Crimes against the unarmed Residents of
Bucha during the Russian Occupation.
(A corpse inside a destroyed car
in Bucha, April 2, 2022.)
Residents of Bucha told the
liberating Ukrainian Military the following: “Russian soldiers went door to
door, questioning people, destroying their possessions, and looting their
clothes to wear them themselves.
Civilians were fired upon when leaving their
homes for food and water and would be ordered back into their homes by
occupying Russian troops, despite a lack of basic necessities such as water and
heat due to destruction of local infrastructure. Snipers fired upon Civilians.
Russian armed vehicles would randomly fire
into buildings in the town. Russian Troops refused medical aid to Civilians
they injured. A mass grave was dug for local victims, and the Occupying Troops
carried out extrajudicial executions.”
(Exhumation of bodies from a mass
grave near the Church of St. Andrew the First-Called (Bucha) on April 8, 2022.)
The main streets of Bucha were
littered with dead Civilians. They were shot by the Russians while going about
their daily routines (walking dogs, getting food, etc.) The Russians also
placed booby-traps with explosives on many of the dead bodies as they retreated.

torture; cut-off ears and teeth pulled out.
Pets and other animals had been
needlessly shot.

burn the bodies after raping them.
