800 Earthquakes have hit the part of Iceland south the Capital,
Reykjavik and by the Blue Lagoon in the past several days with more expected
with a tunnel of magma flowing underneath. Whole areas are being evacuated and
a protective wall is being built around a nearby Power Plant.
It is believed a Volcanic Eruption will happen very soon (similar
to the major Eruption of Eyjafjallajökull in 2010 when most of Europe’s Airspace
was closed for 6 days – resulting in a loss of US$1.7 Billion Dollars to the
Airlines with over 95,000 flights cancelled.)
I visited Reykjavik and swam in the Blue Lagoon when I was in
Iceland in March 2011 – it is a very nice.
