He explained that no delivery was
made on February 28th because of the major snow storm we had (which
I already knew and accepted as the reason.)
He then explained the reason no
delivery was made yesterday (March 7th) and said the Delivery Driver
had run out of Propane and it was already after the Local Office was closed so
I couldn’t get a delivery or a phone call. That was new for me to hear and I
accepted reasons.
When I spoke with the National Office
last night they told me that it said in their system that the Driver had said
that no delivery could be made because the “path was obstructed” meaning the
Town Road, my Driveway or both had: snow, ice, mud, downed trees, etc. and
wasn’t open for vehicles.
When I heard that excuse last night I
was mad because I was home all day and saw the Town come clear the large
snowbanks from the Town Road – but didn’t need to plow. I also saw how clear my
Driveway and Walkways were as I have kept them up myself.
The Regional Manager said that the
Driver is only given a few codes to put into their system and “running out of
Propane” isn’t one of them (which is odd for a Propane Company) so he put the
path was obstructed. I accepted that excuse.
He did say there was no excuse as to
why I didn’t get rescheduled for a delivery or get a call about the February 28th
missed delivery or why no one called me back when I spoke to the Woman about it
on March 3rd in the morning and she said she would call me back.
The Regional Manager said he would
speak to the Local Office about that and made several notes on my account to
call for missed deliveries – regardless of the reason and that if I had any
more issues that I should contact my Local Office and speak to the Operations
Manager.
He said the Local Office has me
scheduled for a delivery today (March 8th) so we will see if that
happens.
Last night I personally sanded by the
Propane Tank, the Generator, the Garage and our 2 Walkways and e-mailed out
Plow Guy to come sand the whole Driveway this morning (when I thought the “path
was obstructed.”) The Plow Guy just came (at 9;30 am) so there is no issue
there.
Suburban Propane just came (at 2:40
pm on Wednesday March 8, 2023.) It only took me 10 days, 2 missed delivery
dates, 5 phone calls (3 to the Local Office, 1 from the Regional Office and 1
to the National Office) to get it done.
I have been with Suburban Propane
since 2011 and this is the first (and hopefully the last) issue I have ever had
with them. We had AmeriGas from 2009-2011 and they were riddled with delivery
and communication issues so we switched.
